Hotter weather leads to less clothing, which is one of the best parts of summer. Short shorts, dresses, tanks, whatever the clothing, summer clothes are revealing and give you a great opportunity to show off that hot body of yours. One of the best opportunities given is at the beach, in a bathing suit. Picking the right bathing suit is very important in order to flaunt your best qualities correctly. A bathing suit, or a few to be honest, is a must in everyone’s wardrobe. Since summer will be here before we know it, shopping for that perfect bikini should be on top of your shopping list. While shopping, make sure not to forget to stick to the basic rules of swimsuits. Some traditional rules that you may know are, of course, black makes you look slimmer, one-colored as well, patterned at the chest makes your chest look slightly bigger, halter-neck will give your chest that extra lifting it might need, strapless will mark your shoulders so don’t go with strapless unless your shoulders are round and well-trained. These rules will help pick the perfect suit for your body. One piece and two piece bathing suits are very popular, trendy, and have lots of assortment to choose from.

Traditionally, two piece bathing suits were not worn to show off the body, it has always been bikinis that did the job of showing the most skin. But today, one piece bathing suits have come a long way, and in some cases, show even more skin than the traditional string bikini. One piece bathing suits can often do more than the average two piece bathing suits. This summer, the hottest bathing suit to be seen in, is the new style of, monokinis. This style leaves the mind to do nothing but wonder. The cuts outs, designs, and criss cross straps, leaves a little more to the imagination than a simple bikini does. A one piece with multiple cut outs over a slender body does nothing but call attention and scream out sexy, as you can see below.

When I said there is a wide variety of assortment, I meant it. Anything from different colors, to shapes, a mokokini will have it. This is a trend that will most likely start taking over the oh so famous string bikini. Although, the one down side monokinis seem to have, are the fact that they only come in one size, and is the reason they fit best on slender, hour shaped figured females. Those who may have a large chest, but a small body, might have trouble fitting into a monokini properly. But, considering they reveal such a sexy look, and as long as the odd tan lines that are formed do not bother you, monokinis are the style to sport this summer. If they are just not your thing, don't get me wrong, bikinis are still just as hot this summer, and you can flaunt your curves in a sexy two piece aswell.

The general clothes fashion trends that have been popular, such as sheer, over the shoulder and the bright color look, have all carried their way over to bathing suits. As you can see, pictured below, bright orange and hot pink take over, and will most definitely pull all eyes on you, while walking down the beach. Bright colors also bring out the tan in you, that is, if you are a bronze color. Otherwise, I recommend a non bright color, which goes best with fare skin.

Although, bathing suits are often worn at the beach and in the water, there are times while walking around you may want a cover up to slide over your suit. This summer, the trendiest cover ups seem to be the ones with sheer fabric. Long, short, strapless, pull over, what ever the style, sheer cover ups are a great way to accesorize your favorite suit. Alhtough, it technically is a cover up, it doesnt cover much up. The sheer fabric makes it possible for those to still see your body, and does not leave any skin out. Accesories are a great way to spice up your bathing suit this summer season. Whether it be a long necklace, or a cover up with a simple belt, accesories are going to be trendy this season.

With all the different style bathing suits to choose from, I assume finding that perfect bathing suit will be a lot easier, which may be the reason we dont only have one favorite suit. But, that's okay. Flaunt your body the way you'd like in as many suits you'd like. Try out different styles, who knows it may become your next favorite suit for summer 2009!

Denim denim denim

As you already know denim is everywhere. It is a hot style that comes in almost any form. Denim can be worn for many different occassions. A day at work in the office, or simply an afternoon at the beach. Better yet, denim can be turned around and glammed up for a night out. Ripped denim jeans and jackets have been discussed and are popular amongst celebrities. This summer, on top of jeans and jackets that were worn in the fall and summer, denim shorts, skirts, vests and dresses are back and have stepped up a notch. It is that time of the year where everyone can officially take these items out of their closets and enjoy them. Celebrities have been seen wearing these trendy denim shorts, skirts, vests, dresses in a variety of different ways.

Pictured above is Lindsey Lohan wearing denim shorts with fringed edges. This is one of many casual ways to wear denim shorts. Ripped and covered with a few holes is another popular way to wear shorts, or any other denim bottoms for that matter. Although, the most popular way to be seen wearing shorts are for them to be short, long shorts are going to be popular this season aswell. Boyfriend style pants that are baggy and look exactly as they sound, have became a hot new look. That boyfriend baggy look in pants has now worked its way to shorts.

Taylor Momsen, picured above, was seen wearing boyfriend style shorts. This is a look that will get more popular as time goes by. If you like the baggy rolled up style, these will be great for your wardrobe this summer. She threw on a pair of heals which elongates her legs and wore a leather vest which spices up the outfit. Boyfriend shorts are a perfect look to spend your summer day in. If skirts are more your style, be ready for the denim look this summer. Denim skirts are back, provide a great look, and can be paired with almost any top. Long or short, high wasted or low-rise, which ever you prefer the look is in and is a very hot one. Uma Thurman, pictured below, shows off her legs in a faded, fringed edge skirt. The jacket placed over a simple t-shirt and heals gives a more classy look. This specific outfit proves how skirts can look good with anything.

If these denim trends are inspiring you to add some new items to your wardrobe this summer, it gets even better. If you are daring to wear the most recent denim trend, try out the popular denim dresses. Denim dresses are just another style to add to your collection of summer dresses. They are great for those hot summer days when the though of sliding jeans over your hot sticky legs just is not going to cut it. Below, actress Leighton Meester, is wearing one of the many different styles of denim dresses topped with simple metalic flip flops, which turns the outfit into a simple casual look for a day out in the sun. This specific denim dress is a thick shoulder tank that ends right above the knees, which provides a great opportunity to show off your legs.

Denim doesnt end there. If familiar at all with denim jackets that were popular in the winter/fall trends of this year, the long sleeve denim jackets have now been simplified down for summer weather into denim vests. Yes, you heard it correctly, denim vests are going to be trendy this summer season. Just tlike the jackets, denim vests can be worn with skirt, shorts, jeans and even dresses to top off the final piece. Celebrity Mischa Barton, wore a light colored vests over her flower print dress shown on the right, which seems to complete the outfit. The picture on the left without the vest is a more simple look. Both, look great and are hot summer styles to try out yourself.

This simple denim trend has made its way back from the eighties and will provide a great look for you this summer. Denim is a simple blue jean color, or often white, that matches any color in the book. Due to the wide variety of different denim clothing to choose from and the amount of colors it matches with, can provide the chance to create multiple outfits. Denim is easy to throw together and create the perfect night out or day time outfit. If it's denim, that's the way to go.

Light warmth brings light shades

Fashion is an obsession for many people, and whether you are interested in it or not, you're more than likely see fashion trends displayed all over the place from malls to people, everyday. Seeing someone wearing a new trend is one great way to pick up that trend yourself. One style, whose details arent as obvious to notice on people unless you are upclose and personal, is makeup. Make up can be very fun to try out in different ways, and allows you to be creative. To me, make up is the last touch to finalize your look. Although, for some, it could lead to a not so good look, if done incorrectly. This summer, the new make up trends are simple, making it easier on us girls and, as hot as ever. It seems that the nude look not only is taking over in garmets, but in make up as well. With nude being such a natural color, it gives off a very elegant vibe, that is hard not to miss out on. Make up artists seem to be focusing on nude shades, and light pastel colors. Of course, your typical browns, blacks, and everything in between are not hitting the road, and are still a hot look. But, pastel and nude shades are the hot and trendy new make up styles, few are displayed below, which express mainly nude shades.



Make up artist are suggesting to apply a simple foundation, one that matches your skin tone of course, to even out the color of your face and create a good base. This may seem plain and boring, but, it's not at all, as long as you add the correct blush, eyeshadow, and lip stick or gloss color which creates the perfect sheer look. Your cheeks should be lightly covered with simple pink shading, along with a pastel color swiped across your eyelids. To top off the masterpiece, a soft color, such as rosebud pink, should be applied to your lips, which will match the faces overall tone, and create a subtle glow, such as in the picture below.
Notice, I didnt mention eyeliner or mascara, these two make up essentials aren't needed in the "nude" look. Although, you can certainly still wear them, the nude look is more complete without. The picture above focuses more on pastel colors than simply all nude. The pastel colors simply add a touch of shimmer to the face, unlike the picture below, that expresses strictly nude shades. Both styles are just as hot, and each give off there own unique touch to ones face.



The naturalness of these make up combinations create a very fresh and vibrant look, without taking a lot of your time. Although, it is very simple to create this look, blending, and base are key factors to remember while doing so. Knowing what shades to blend in, and what base color to start off with determines the whole look. Of course, this style can be played with and worn to your likings. Celebrities have been seen wearing the nude look along with metalic eyes and or red lipstick. Although, doing so takes away a portion of the nude look, it sitll looks great as long as other features represent the nude shades. Heidi Klum displays her own creative skills by applying mascara and matalic shades to her eyes, but yet keeps the natural nude shade in play as well.


Just because summer is almost here doesnt mean you need to stop wearing the black and grey shades on your eyes, and go all pastel. Smokey eyes are actually just as popular now as they were in the seasons past. A combination of black, grey, and silver, create a perect smokey eye look that definitely can't be ignored by the crowd. Smokey eyes also go great with the new nude make up trend. The perfect nude shade lipstick, along with barley there blush, brings all the attention to the eyes, making those shades look even hotter than before. This style is perfect for a night out, and displays a great amount of sexiness.

If the nude lips just are not cutting it for you, and you just cant let go of the red, you are a-ok. Red shades are going to be hotter than ever this season. Keeping it simple, and wearing the red on the lips simply boosts the nude look up a notch and calls all the attention on you. Red lips create a sense of sophistication, and a hint of sexyness to display all around.

HOT weather means HOT changes

My favorite time of the year is the transition from cold weather to hot weather, summer is my favorite season. The weather gradually gets nicer, and many new styles arise in the media. When such a big transition occurs from cold dreery weather, to hot and sticky, many styles change as well. Fashion obvioulsy changes frequently to keep up with new trends and different seasons. While fashion changes, some people keep up with those changes, while others do not. But, when it comes summer time or determining where you live, warmer weather in general, it is almost impossible to not keep up with the "seasonal trends."In summer, the hottness and humidity in the air often make you have to do your make-up a certain way in order for it to make it through the day, along with putting your hair in a certain style in order to keep you cool. There are several different factors in warmer weather that cause your skin, and hair to react differently than it does in the winter. When it comes to this time of the year, many new and creative ways to keep your strands up and out of your face in order to keep you nice and cool in the sun, are the trends to keep an eye out for. This spring/summer 2009 season many celebrities have been seen wearing the unique side bun, also referred to as "the knot." This style is an easy one, that almost everyone can do without a problem, or a mirror, in most cases. A day at the beach, or a night out with the crew, the knot can provide you with a very hot look. A couple key elements to make sure you follow while wearing a side bun, is to make sure the side bun is lower than your ear and no wear near eye level. A star trek hair style is not what you are aiming for. The knot, is to be bunched together, showing off a messy, but great look.

Taylor Momsen, pictured above, expresses a perfect example of the messy-side bun look, which she pulls off beautifully. If you are trying to make the knot look more elegant, for a night out persua, making sure the rest or your head of hair is smoothly combed back with no messy strands, and the knot more tightly formed together, is the way to do it. Pictured below, Kate Beckinsale, is a great example of the more elegant looking knot.If you are wondering how to get such a perfect looking "knot" the wya to do so is to place your hair in a pony tail and simply twist the hair from the pony tail, then twist that one twisted strand up against your head tucking the end into your hair tie. Although, these are the most common ways to flaunt the knot look, many other celeberties and models on fashion show cat walks have been seen wearing the knot many different ways. The knot or messy bun, doesnt necessarily nee to be on the side below ones hear. As you can see below, some choose to have it diectly on top, or on top off to the side. Which ever way you choose, this style is going to provide you with a trendy look, that everyone is going to be dying to have.

Whether the knot and side bun look grabbed your attention or not, those styles are just a couple out of plenty more to look forward to for the spring and summer seasons. One great example of another hot trend are braids. And yes, I leave it simply at the word braids, because any and almost everyway you would like to wear braids this season, is most likely "in." To thick small individual pieces laying amongst the rest of your strands, to all of your hair pulled back in one big braid, you name it, and if it's braided it will look great!

Jennifer Aniston is one of out numerous celebrities that have been spotted wearing braids. If you love wearing your hair down and are not quite sure what to add to make your hair style not look too plain, this style is for you. Simply braiding a portion of your hair on one side of your head and placing the ends behind your ear, is the way to do it. With a sleek glossy look, Jen pulls this off perfectly. Another, very simple and traditional way is pictured below by Kate Hudson.
Her purpose of wearing this particualr style of braid was due to the fact that she wanted all eyes on her dress, and this was a great way of doing so. If we could see her whole body front and back, we would obviously focus on the dress in front, but yet still see the dress and a elegant hairstyle from the back. This familiar-like style can be worn almost anywhere, any occassion, and do a successful job at catching peoples attention.
Like I said before, if it's braided, it's hot. Pictured above, are celebrities wearing their hair braided with their own certain style. As you can see, every single braided hair style looks great! This picture prooves that you can create your own favorite way of braiding your hair, there are not "set rules" to follow when it comes to this style, which is a reason why it's trendy for all. If there is one thing to keep in mind after discussing these hairstyles, remember, whether it's messy or braided, put up or put down, anyway you choose is going to be trendy. If any of these styles were of your liking, make sure you get on top of the ball, and start making your lovely locks look just as lovely as the celebs did with their own.

Jeans, Jeans, Jeans

For the past several months, most everyone has been waiting for spring to arrive. Designers have been displaying all sorts of new spring 2009 clothing and accessories, which of course, gets everyone excited and ready for summer. Even while the weather, in most areas, isn’t summer like temperatures, the malls and almost all stores have summer clothing displayed. In my opinion, it isn’t to fun shopping and buying all sorts of summer clothes when you aren’t able to wear them for at least another month or two. With all of the spring and summer styles being discussed, many forget about something we never take out of our closets and often still wear everyday in Spring, jeans! Jeans is the one word some people cannot stand. Shopping for jeans can put a damper on ones day. Not only is it a pain going from store to store trying jeans on, it is also a hassle finding the right style that fits your figure the best. Although, you would think there isn’t much a designer can do to spice up the plain old classic jean style that is wrong. Jeans have new trends as well, for the upcoming summer 2009 season and current spring season. Pictured below are a few celebrities wearing some of the most trendy jeans.






Now-a-days, jeans have such a variety to choose from, and if you know which style fits your body just right, jeans can be your new best friend. Here are some examples of different styles, high waste, low rise, stretchy, skinny, baggy,boot-cut, wide leg and different kinds are made with different size belt areas, which helps fit the hips better. Although, I did mention low rise jeans, they are slowly going out of style and being replaced with high waste jeans. High wasted jeans have been trendy for about the past three seasons and are going to be just as trendy this spring and summer. Not only do they cover unwanted stomach flab, which makes someone’s appearance look thinner, high wasted jeans have created its own unique fashion trend that a lot of celebrities are following. Jlo flaunts her own style while wearing high wasted jeans by sporting a vest with the trendy jeans, making the outfit look even hotter.


Within high wasted jeans, there are different styles to choose from. One of the most common pair of high waste jeans seen on celebrities, are the high waste suspender jeans. A preview of one of man ways celebrities have been seen wearing the suspender jeans is pictured below in the left most picture. High waste jeans offers a unique way to express your fashionable self. As you can see in the picture below, they are usually tight fitting, which make the stomach and legs look great, if you have the right figure that is. Also, some are higher than others, which gives you a chance to choose which ones look best on you.


Considering high waste jeans have most likely already been heard about or seen on many, I am going to discuss a trend that isn’t yet as popular but working its way there. The newest jean style fo the upcoming seasons is going to be the “boyfriend pants” style. The style looks just as it sounds, baggy, long, and really do look like your "boyfriends pants." If you really just arent into the skinny or high waste jean trend the boyfriend pants style might be your new favorite style of jeans. In the 80's, belted wastebands, turned up hems, and baggy crotches was in style. Today, that look has been revived and updated and is being seen on more and more celebrities within the past month or two.While wearing these jeans, there is a certain way to do so in order to pull them off correctly. Although, these pants are supposed to be baggy, you need to make sure they arent too baggy for you. In the picture above, these celebrities chose to simply wear them long and boyish looking, which is one way to wear them. Another way that some celebrities are wearing them is by rolling up the pants at the bottom, turning them into some sort of capri style. The last style seen worn by celebrities that was used to girly the pants up a little, is to throw on a pair of heals and call it a day! Even though celebrities have created their own unique favorite way of wearing these new boyfriend jeans, which is quite teh style everyone seems to be following, you can create your own way and follow that as well! Either way, which ever style of jeans you prefer, what ever you do, don't forget about them this summer!

Spring is here!

As of March 20th, Spring has arrived! Nicer weather is putting everyone in the mood to whip out their spring clothes and put away their winter boots. Now, that everyone will be enjoying the sunshine more outdoors, there is a certain accessorie highly needed in order to actually enjoy that time in the sun. That accesorie, the one that women can never have enough of, are sungalsses. I dont think anyone wants to be driving or enjoying an afternoon outdoors while squinting and struggling to see. Not only do sunglasses comfortably help you see more clearly while in the sunshine, they are a great way to express your personality and add a touch to your apparal. Whether it's in a bathing suit or your everyday attire, sunglasses are the one exception when it comes to accesories that can go with anything you are wearing. Some celeberties like wearing a certain style of sunglasses depending on their outfit, while others, could care less. That's the good thing about sunglasses, although some like to wear certain styles with different outfits, that doesnt have to always be the case. Sunglasses have such a wide variety of styles that almost any pair you choose will always go with anything you are wearing. This season you want to make sure you pick the trendiest style of sunglasses out of all the varieties that are going to be available. As said many times when it comes to clothing, bright colors are going to be hot this summer for sunglasses as well. Not just bright colors, but colorful sunglasses in general are popular this season. Thick frammed glasses, round, oversized, glittery,aviators, and patterns are all just a few styles of sunglasses that are going to be hot this Spring and Summer 2009 season. Victoria Beckham flaunts oversized diamond studded glasses in the picture below. She sets a perfect example of how stylish oversized sunglasses are to be worn. Oversized sunglasses, or any trendy sunglasses for that matter, are a great way to make one feel celebrity like.



Some of the styles just mentioned that are going to be the trendiest this season, may have sounded familiar, since a lot were around last season as well. But, they are back hotter than ever this season. One style that is back but probably wont last long are the shell shaped glasses. Not only are they oversized, which is a hot trend, but they come in all kinds of different shapes, which aquires the variety of tastes within everyone. The latest trend for sunglasses are the gradient lens glasses. Gradient lens sunglasses is a style that doesnt mess around with the frames of the glasses, but the lens itself. The lens are tinted, half shaded from top to bottom. This trend is said to be sticking around for quiet a while. The gradient lens feature bring more attention to ones trendy shades.

After discussing all of the different styles of sunglasses, the hard part is finding a pair that is right for you. Fortunatly, with such a wide variety to choose from and even more new styles that are available this season, finding the right pair shouldn't be that hard. The main thing you want to focus on while picking out the perfect pair of sunglasses, is the shape of your face. Differnet shaped faces look better with different pairs of glasses. Even if the oversized glasses are your favorite and are for sure trendy, they may not be the best fit for your face shape. There are some rules to abide by when picking out that perfect pair. Those who have oval sized faces should choose sunglasses with wide frames. The thickness of the frames will cover a part of the forhead and not make it look longer than it may be. For those who have more of a rounder face, should choose a pair that are angular. The unique angle of the sunglasses will make ones face look thinner and longer. And last but not least, if your face is some what diamond shaped, wide frames at the top of the sunglasses will make the forhead look wider and leave you with stunning results to show off.

Now that you have the basics of what style of sunglasses will fit you best and what styles are going to be hotter than ever this season, get yourself a pair and enjoy the lovely spring weather. If you cant settle on just one, get as many as needed, who knows how many times you are going to want to change your shades!

Dress it up or dress it down

Just like last Spring, dresses are the hot trend for the Spring 2009 clothing line. But, the only difference with this 2009 season is that the hottest dresses to purchase are going to be the ones with a floral pattern. Unlike last season, the dresses are going to focus more on feminity and bring out the chic style in you. Floral print is going to be popular on more than just dresses.Skirts and blouses are going to have floral printing as well, giving you a wide varietyof different style floral print to choose from. Soft colors are giong to be popular colors displayed on alot of the dresses, which will give people a break from the bright colors that traditionally take place during spring time. Of course, bright color floral pattern will still be just as hot and available in just as many dresses as the soft floral print. Floral print is a convienience for either work or going out on the weekends, it can be worn in whatever way you please. Floral print catches many peoples eyes. Unlike the popular variety of solid colors that are usually combined and worn, floral print is something different, a way for someone to change the variety of clothes that hang in their closet. Pictured below are just a few floral print dresses that each emphaszie on a different characteristic of the body. One consists of being short and strappless, flaunting ones legs and shoulders, giving more of a sophisticated look. Another, which is quiet opposite, is long and flowy, emphasizing on the neck, and displays a more laid back look. As you can see, ruffels and layers are displayed in a variety of ways on each dress. Designers are using ruffels and layers this season on many different garmets to bring back a look that was once popular in another decade. Ruffels and layers bring out a unique touch to clothing that all the celebrities seem to love.




Floral print isnt going to be the only hot fashion trend within dresses this season. Designers have came up with a look that is popular within a wide variety of ages, and is probably one of the most comforatble dresses that can be worn. Sport dresses are a new trend this season that may last into next Springs hot trends aswell, considering they are making a huge impact on this seasons styles already. Sport dresses have qualities such as zippers, hoods, buttons, and often look like a sports uniform, such as a tennis outfit. Not all look sporty, some are tight fitting, which flaunt every curve in ones body. The tight fitting ones make the dresses more seductive than others, such as the black sport dressed pictured on the right. Star Lerighton Meester from Gossip girl, stands with one leg bent and hip stuck out, flaunting the hot curves she knows she has. The
black sporty dress does a great job of showing that in a stylish way.
Also, pictured below are a few more examples of whats yet to come for this Spring 2009 season that everyone will be giong crazy for. Although these dresses are going to be quiet a hot trend this season, there is one rule to abide by while wearing them. Unlike the floral print dresses, sport dresses shouldn't be worn in work atmosphere. They tend to either be too revealing, or simply just dont fit ones nescessary look in a work atmosphere. Other than work, sport dresses are a great look for your everyday attire.

Dresses are great, for everyone and every shape. Theres such a huge variety of styles when it comes to dresses. Every person, no matter the body shape can find the right dress for them. Some dresses have a tie under the breast area which emphasizes the chest. While, the bottom of the dress is a littler more baggy than the top which takes eyes off curves and drawls all attention to the upper chest area for people who may be a little bigger, but want to look slimmer. Other dresses for people who may be curvier with wide hips may want to choose a dress with a dramatic neckline, such a characteristic equalizes the body and makes it not look so curvy. Adding an open jacket or long cardagan often slims the body down as well, hiding wide hips. If you are the opposite and love your curves, adding a belt to your favorite dress will drawl all eyes on such a stunning body. Adding a belt to a dress makes it more stylish and shows you have no problem tightening something around your stomach, an area many people are intimidated to flaunt. These are just a few different styles of dresses celeberities choose to fit their body type. This spring, whether its a floral print dress or a bright colored sporty dress, pick a dress that fits your liking and flaunt the body characteristics that you love the most!
